TripRider - Travel Planner App Reviews

Everything in one place-terrific app.

If you would like to have everything for a trip in one place this app does the job. It takes a good deal of effort to get the data into the system but the results and the fact that you can add actual results including pictures, expenses etc, is really a nice feature. At the end of the trip you can create a book at what ever level of detail that you wish. At times I wished it was easier to put data into the system and that the input screens could be customized. Overall this is a good app and I dont know of any other application that is equal. As far as some of the other review criticisms I have the app on both an iPad and iPhone. It is also backed up to Dropbox. It has never crashed on me.

Not an improvement!

I hate this version. It is bland and has no character. The previous version was a visual treat and easy to use. Plus, the upgrade got rid of my pics....Really! I will be looking for something else.

Useful

I like the app. It has made it possible to keep a lot of info about trips in one convenient location. The biggest flaw is that one is unable to assign a period of time to an event. One can only enter the start time. It would be much more useful, for instance, to put down that one has scheduled a museum tour from 13:00-15:00 and block out that time.

A Much-Needed App with One Needed Update

This app is fantastic. It is very useful for planning trips and almost perfect. The main thing it needs is the ability to actively share a trip with someone so that when they make changes, yours automatically updates and such. Add this feature, and this will be a 5-star app.

Extremely comprehensive

Every detail needed to plan my 51 day trek around the USA is contained in this one app. No stone has been left unturned in putting together the details I require in having all my information in one place. Amazing app.

Gofododdo

This app had a great "feel" two years ago when I first used it for a complicated international trip. You found everything so easily and it felt like a quality app -- not something generated by a 16 year old. Recently they "updated" it and it has a completely different look -- a basic one without the easy to use layout, with all these silly motion features just to get some basic info. The look has also regressed; no more hip and sophisticated layout and images; you now have something that seems to be the product of a 16 year old with an underdeveloped aesthetic sensibility. BRING THE OLD LAYOUT BACK! BRING THE OLD FEEL BACK!

Helpful

Helpful app with many features but expenses should be able to be shared and edited by other travelers. This is what I was mainly looking for in a trip app.
